Technical Commission

According to the Austrian Baseball Softball Federation statutes, the Technical Commission of the ABF is a permanent committee and is divided into sub-groups. These are:

• TK Umpire Baseball
• TK Umpire Softball
• TK Scorer
• TK Venues
• TK Foreigner’s Exemption Permit

The chairpersons of the permanent committees are appointed by the board of directors, who then determine the other members themselves. The Technical Commission has the following tasks and competencies:

• Monitoring of international and national regulations regarding the practice of the sports provided for in the association;
• Picking of gaming venues;
• Training of game officials;
• Decisions regarding special permits for foreigners;
• Allocation and appointment of game officials for international events;
• Creation and updating of the training regulations for umpires and scorers.
