Baseball Youth National Team

The Austrian Youth National Team Program is one of the biggest flagships of our federation. The national teams are led by ABF sports coordinator Sascha Obermayer. The biggest success was the bronze medal in 2013 at the European School Championships in the Czech Republic. In 2015, for the first time, an Austrian selection team won the European PONY League Qualifier and thus qualified for participation in the PONY World Series in the USA, where they were even able to defeat the local hero from Pennsylvania.
For the development of the players, appearances on the international stage are enormously important. Therefore, the ABF tries to play as many tournaments as possible, both European Championships and independent events. Our national team staffs are internationally experienced coaches, as well as local instructors and trainers.
